BETHESDA, MD – Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) was the lead feature in today’s edition of “Business Notes” in Bethesda Magazine. The piece highlights MSG’s move to a new collaborative office in downtown Bethesda, which is a part of the company’s growth strategy.

BETHESDA, MD – Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a social sciences and management consulting firm based in Bethesda, MD, had a record year, which MSG executives credit to the company’s adoption of “social capitalism,” a business philosophy that emphasizes mission and meaning over profit maximization.

MSG worked with the U.S. Department of Education to improve access to and quality of professional development and training content for 21st CCLC practitioners. MSG designed an online portal and used it to prepare and distribute research-based professional development, training, industry promising practices, and technical assistance materials. MSG also developed a Community of Practice that included online webinars, discussion threads, and a coaching module to enable peer-to-peer learning and exchange.

Workforce Demographic Data Quality Technical Assistance

The project was an effort by DOL to assess its quality in program data reported by states, mitigate challenges presented by incomplete data, and take steps to improve the quality and scope of data collection. MSG staff assessed the needs of the WIOA programs, gathered best practices in data quality, and developed TA products for WIOA programs to use to improve demographic data quality throughout the public workforce system.
