Family Engagement Resource Providers

MSG worked with the U.S. Department of Education and state education agencies (SEAs) to increase parental and family engagement activities for students across the U.S. MSG conducted a needs assessment/gap analysis through interviews and a literature review and then engaged 10 regional technical assistance providers to work with grantees nationwide. MSG developed and delivered over 100 regional Communities of Practice webinars to grantees all over the U.S. To meet the individual needs of SEAs and programs, MSG also developed an internal electronic resources database.

DOL Chief Evaluation Office (CEO) Support

MSG supported the DOL Chief Evaluation Office (CEO) in advancing multiple agencies' research agendas through the Evaluation, Technical Support, and Logistics project. We engaged 45+ subject matter experts to participate in research roundtables, organized 4 national competitions, including the CEO Summer Fellowship, and planned and facilitated 20+ webinars to engage experts and disseminate CEO's work. Our work supported collaborations between CEO and multiple DOL agencies on topics ranging from substance use disorder to veteran employment and disability.

Distance Learning Dataset Training

MSG worked closely with National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) to design, develop, and implement seven common and 22 dataset-specific training modules on the topics of acquisition, analysis, interpretation, dissemination, and reporting of statistical data reflecting the condition and progress of education at all levels in the U.S. and on educational activities and student achievement compared with foreign nations. MSG also conducted a thorough review of the Distance Learning Dataset Training system and individual training modules and implemented comprehensive enhancements.
