Description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MD is seeking persons interested in performing visits to small-medium sized retailers to help USDA determine retailer eligibility to join SNAP.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Visit small - medium sized retail stores unannounced
Present identification badge and official USDA documentation.
Complete general survey of retailer.
Conduct 10-15 interview questions with store contact.
Capture 55-70 high quality photographs.
Complete inventory checklist of product and services available at store for customers.
Draw basic sketch of store layout.
Upload information electronically via computer or smart phone for review.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States of America. - Required
Must have reliable transportation. - Required
Must have access to a reliable computer/laptop/smart device with high-speed internet. - Required

General Requirements:

  • Access to high-speed internet and computer
  • Preferred, but not required: Have a smart mobile device capable of installing and using an app that will be used to collect and transmit data collected during the store inspections (mobile device should not be older than six (6) years old to reduce the likelihood of incompatibility with the inspection mobile app)
  • Ability to access the internet via mobile application (preferred) or desktop to transmit data to MSG
  • Ability and willingness to travel to stores in or around your city
  • Willingness to travel to and perform inspections in areas that may include high crime or difficult to reach locations
  • Ability to interact with people calmly and professionally, including store staff if they are not cooperative

  • Excellent communication/customer service skills, organizational ability, time management, and attention to detail and deadlines
  • High School Diploma
