Manhattan Strategy Group Receives DOL Funding to Increase Registered Apprenticeship Opportunities
August 18, 2021

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) was awarded a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) contract to expand Registered Apprenticeship opportunities in sectors affected by the pandemic, including care and rehabilitation services, electric grid support, critical supply chain materials, and transportation to support supply chain distribution. MSG will be reaching out to establish key partnerships at the regional and national levels to ultimately increase the number of new Registered Apprenticeship Programs in the supply chain automation sector.

The MSG contract is valued at over $8M and will be implemented over four years.

“MSG is excited about the opportunity to increase Registered Apprenticeship opportunities in an effort to address some of today’s most critical workforce needs,” noted Lori Meyer, Project Director. “The pandemic has increased the need to build up key sectors and offer talented individuals good paying jobs. Our efforts will focus on recruiting apprentice candidates, increasing equity, and incentivizing new apprenticeship programs and partnerships – among other workforce activities.”

MSG offers technical assistance, research and evaluation, marketing and communications, information technology, and program management services to 14 federal agencies. Starting with just one prime contract in 2008, MSG has primed over 85 contracts valued at over $150 million. MSG celebrated its 20th anniversary in November 2021.
