New Contract Award – Education Innovation and Research

MSG has been awarded a 5-year technical assistance contract with the U.S. Department of Education through the EDTASS contract vehicle to support the Education Innovation and Research (EIR) program. EIR is designed to expand on the successes of i3 to offer new opportunities for States, districts, schools, and educators to develop innovations and scale effective practices that address their most pressing challenges. All EIR projects are expected to generate information regarding their effectiveness in order to inform EIR grantees’ efforts to learn about and improve upon their efforts and to help similar, non-EIR efforts across the country benefit from EIR grantees’ knowledge.

In partnership with Westat and EdScale, MSG will:

  • increase the capacity of EIR /i3 grantees to sustain, scale, and disseminate their projects, lessons learned, and research results;
  • increase the widespread adoption of practices and products that have been developed under EIR and i3 funding;
  • link EIR/i3 grantees to external organizations, practitioners, and researchers who may be interested in learning from and expanding upon EIR/i3 work;
  • conduct cross-project analyses of research and practice coming out of EIR/i3; and
  • help broadly disseminate EIR/i3 research results and to translate these results so that they are accessible and useful to practitioners in the field.
