New Contract Award – Technical Assistance for Advancing Equity in Career and Technical Education

MSG has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) to implement and provide technical assistance for project stakeholders in Career and Technical Education (CTE), and community and technical colleges through virtual professional development events, online communities of practice, technical assistance workshops that include the use of the Advancing Equity in CTE Toolkit, and a National Advancing Equity Symposium.

This project will provide technical assistance opportunities that will be delivered through implementation of a virtual advancing equity in CTE Community of Practice (CoP), professional development and training via a face-to-face annual Advancing Equity National Symposium and online resources via an advancing equity toolkit. OCTAE has determined that more technical assistance is needed, with a particular focus on inequities in CTE programming, including such design elements as programs of study, college and career pathways, industry recognized credentialing, employer engagement, work-based learning, and data collection and analysis.
