Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), announced today that it was awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Innovation and Improvement, to provide logistical support for the 2012-2013 Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) Grant Program. Under this contract, MSG will be responsible for instituting the review process in accordance with policies and procedures for federal grant competitions.
MSG Director, Shezad Habib, stated “I am very excited for MSG to have this opportunity to expand our work at the U.S. Department of Education by providing high quality grant management services to new clients at the Office of Innovation and Improvement.”
The SEED grant program is a competitive grant program authorized under the legislative authority of Public Law 112-10, Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2012. The purpose of the SEED program is to provide funding for grants to national non-profit organizations to support projects that recruit, select, and prepare or provide professional enhancement activities for teachers and/or principals.
