MSG has been selected to provide logistical support services and planning assistance for the Principal Investigators (PI) Conference hosted by the National Center for Education Research (NCER) and the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER), both within the Institute of Education Sciences (IES).
The meetings, scheduled annually in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, will support IES by convening researchers, training fellows, and practitioners in the field of education research. The Principle Investigators and staff from the U.S. Department of Education (ED) will meet to discuss challenges and solutions in the field.
“This is an exciting opportunity for MSG to continue our relationship with the Department of Education,” said Ms. Sancta Watley, Project Director. “We are thrilled to lend our logistical expertise to help deliver successful and productive meetings that engage senior researchers in a collaborative fashion.”
ED/IES staff will have the opportunity to share the priorities of the Institute and ED with both IES-funded grantees and contractors. These grantees will also attend the conference, where they will share research activities, develop novel research approaches, future project ideas, and future research partnerships with a focus on interdisciplinarity. Research fellows and junior researchers funded through IES training programs will also be in attendance, and will have the opportunity to learn about promising career opportunities and projects in the field of education research.
