MSG is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to design a prospective retailer scoring system for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP is intended to provide a nutrition safety net and alleviate food insecurity, along with increasing low-income Americans access to healthy foods. The program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), provides eligible low-income households a monthly benefit amount based on household size and net income to purchase foods from authorized retailers that can be prepared and eaten at home.
