The prolonged interruption of schooling will create unprecedented challenges for our nation’s educators and students. Needed interventions for schools include support in: developing strategies for making up for time lost; adjusting grade placements, classroom placements, teacher assignments, and graduation requirements; refining curricula; and addressing the significant psycho-social needs of students, especially those whose families have been directly affected by the virus. In addition, school systems nationwide must begin now to plan for the high potential for the virus to return and affect schooling during the 2020-21 school year. MSG’s team of subject matter, technical assistance, and research experts are poised to assist school policymakers and practitioners to ensure that student learning does not become yet another victim of COVID-19.
